Hey guys, I haven't done a written blog for a while, so I decided to do one this week. I'm still in the UK, and having a blast! I've been managing to get some sightseeing in by waking up early in the mornings and looking around before we have to leave each day for the shows. I had a friend who lives pretty much down the street from me who happened to be in London this last weekend with his family, so I got to hang out and go around town with them! It was soo cool that we just so happened to be in London at the same time. I did sightseeing with them, but they left a few days ago. This morning, I decided to go to the Tower of London and take a tour around there. It was wicked cool seeing the crown jewels, and to think of how old all the buildings and things there were! Insane! I had a great time. Some other places and things I've gotten to go to and see are Covent Garden, Camden Town, Big Ben and Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and Westfield. I've managed to get quite a bit in each morning! Amazing what you can get done if you wake up early enough, haha.
So we had our show today in Croydon, and I felt really good tonight. I always wonder what people must be thinking watching me move lol, but I think the less you're concerned about how strange people must think you look up on stage, the more you can just let go and get into the song. I'm trying to let myself get into that mind set more, and it's been working :). But anyway, after I was finished performing my set, they were telling me to pack up my stuff immediately because we had to go somewhere. It was with one of the promoters of the show, so I was assuming we were going to have dinner r something. When we got to our destination, we were actually in Camden Town area. I recognized it from when I went there yesterday haha. We got to the doors, and they handed me a pass with The Fray on it. I was shocked! I had no idea they were playing in London, and that I'd even be able to go see them lol. They were great, and their music is really passionate and striking live. I was able to talk to them afterwards too, and they were cool guys. Unfortunately, I was only able to see part of their set. The good thing is that right when I got there they started playing Look After You, which is a killer song. So I'm hoping to see their whole set sometime in the future. If you're in the London area, they have another show tomorrow if you want to see them. It was the promoter and one of McFly's managers who were able to make the surprise happen for me, so I've gotta thank them! haha. It was a real treat. But yeah... As you all probably know I can never ever keep blogs short. But just thought I'd let you know how things have been! I'm starting to become addicted to Twitter, but it's nice because I can keep people updated all the time and the messages aren't uber long. If you want to follow me my twitter name is DavidArchie haha. Ok. I'm done now. Talk to you guys later!
P.S. If you are in the UK let me know if you're coming to any of the McFly shows! If you've already gone let me know what you thought. Thanks!
P.P.S. I love concerts
Song for the day: Absolute - The Fray
Hey everyone. It's Daaavid here. This last week I went to Cleveland, Ohio to make an appearance at the IX Indoor Amusement Park. I got sick while I was there, so I unfortunately didn't get to ride any of the rides. I did get to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame though! I really enjoyed looking at all the different things they had there, like outfits, notes, guitars, and other things of iconic figures in music. They have the jacket Michael Jackson wore in Thriller! Pretty insane. You can't take pictures inside though, so I don't have any lol. But while I was there, they had an event going on after it closed I guess. I'm not exactly sure what was going on, but I know that the guy who did the Evolution of Dance on Youtube was there!! I saw him from a distance, and he had the classic orange Crush shirt. I was thinking, "...He looks familiar... but why?...... oh my gosh! It's the Evolution of Dance guy!" So I got to meet him and take a picture with him haha. So yeah, Ohio was pleasant.
I was in Utah for a couple of days after Ohio, and had the chance to go to the Brandi Carlile concert! I really love Brandi's album The Story, but wasn't really familiar with anything else. I listen to that album all the time though. She has such a powerful, emotional voice. It's like you can feel her pain or how she feels for the songs she's singing, and it draws you in. It has a westerny, folky vibe to it, which brings the music really down to earth... if that makes sense... lol. But we were able to talk to her for a little bit afterwards, and she was a totally sweet gal with a cool edge to her. I put her song The Story as song for the day a while ago, but she has a lot of other really good songs. I thought her voice was amazing on the record, but it is seriously breath-taking live. Her albums were released just a few years ago, but I honestly think she must have improved so much already because it really is sooo good live. Then again, everything pretty much sounds better live haha. Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you all. I'm going to head out here now, but I'll talk to you all later!
P.S. I am loving Britain's Got Talent right now! Just... wow... That's all I can say lol.
So instead of songs for the day, I'm going to mention youtube links of 2 performers from Britain's Got Talent that you HAVE to check out if you haven't already. The first one is Susan Boyle, and the 2nd one is Shaheen Jafargholi. I freakin' love these! lol. I think both of them are such cool stories and performances. It gives me chills.
Susan Boyle - I still can't get over this.

Hey muchachos y muchachas! David here, and I'm in Pocatello, Idaho for our show here tonight. I have to get ready for the show tonight, so I'm going to try and be quick here. Lesley's not on tour with us anymore :(. I'm really going to miss her, but I wish the best for her! I think she's going to be doing some TV appearances pretty soon, so look out for her! Amie Miriello will now be doing the last few shows with us. She is AWESOME. Her album is one of the albums I've been listening a lot too lately. I've mentioned her in one of my blogs before for her song "Snow." It's one of my favorite songs. So I hope you guys enjoy her! It's really exciting to have her on board for a bit haha.
So this last week we had our Pomona, California show. It was our closest show to LA, and I saw a lot of familiar faces in the crowd! haha. I also had some friends come to the show. Jason (Castro) came with some of his family! It was awesome to see all of them, and I'm glad they were able to come. Jennette McCurdy (Sam on iCarly) also came! It was fun just hanging out with all of them backstage after the show. So I hope you guys had a fun time! Thanks for coming to the show! (Idk if either of you even read this but whatever haha.) Jason's been working on a lot of original material right now and Jennette has a new single out right now called "So Close." So if you want... you should check it out! We also had some GREEAAT shows after that. We had Reno, Idaho Falls, and Boise shows. These were some of my favorite shows to do! And the crowds were all awesome! Thanks you guys sooo much for coming out! I've been getting more and more into the shows every night. All right, so I better get ready for the Pocatello show tonight, and then we head for St. George tomorrow. If you guys happen to be near St. George area, please come! We'd love to have all the support we can at that show, and it's sort of the warm up for Salt Lake. If you guys do come, I'd really really appreciate it. But anyway, I better head off now. I'll ttyl!
P.S. I've been keeping up with this season of AI and would love to hear your thoughts on who you like the best. Leave me a message on my mobile fan club line and let me know! haha:)
Song for the day: I Came Around - Amie Miriello
This is another one of my favorites by Amie. I'd also recommend "Snow" again if you haven't listened to that yet!
Hey guys! I'm in Boise right now and I'm getting ready for tonight's show. It's coming starting pretty soon haha. I just wanted to let you guys know that tonight is the last show I'm doing with Lesley unfortunately :(. She's been so much fun to go on tour with! I'm really going to miss her. Her band has been really cool too. So I hope you guys have really enjoyed Lesley at the shows, because I sure have. I hope you guys keep up with what is going on with her too, and show her some love. She loves peanut m&m's by the way, so if you ever think about getting her anything... haha. She likes vests and the color purple too. But anyway, just wanted to say that Lesley's been awesome, and I'm sooo glad she was willing to join me on my solo tour. Well I better head out now, the show's starting soon. I'll talk to you guys later!
Song for the day: Thinking Out Loud - Lesley Roy
I love what this song is about, and it's become one of my favorites of hers.
